Rental Policy

Practical rental terms for Microwave equipment. Please read them before confirming a rental.

Rental Terms

Rentals are available to customers aged 18 or over. Valid photo identification may be required before equipment is released.

The rental period, price, equipment and agreed collection and return times are confirmed as part of each booking. All consumer-facing rental prices shown by Microwave include 25% VAT.

Payment is due before collection unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Security Deposit

Microwave may require a refundable security deposit depending on the equipment and circumstances of the rental. The amount, if any, will be communicated before the booking is completed.

A deposit is not part of the rental price. Subject to any lawful deductions connected with the rental, it is returned after the equipment has been returned and checked.

Collection & Return

Equipment is normally collected and returned in Copenhagen by appointment. Delivery or alternative arrangements are only included when specifically agreed.

The renter must return the equipment at the agreed time and in substantially the same condition in which it was supplied, allowing for normal wear from proper use.

If more rental time is needed, contact Microwave before the agreed return time. Extensions are subject to availability and may result in additional rental charges.

Use & Care

The renter must use, store and transport the equipment with reasonable care and in accordance with its intended use.

Equipment must not be modified, opened, repaired, lent, transferred or sub-rented to another person without prior permission from Microwave.

Any malfunction, accidental damage, loss or theft should be reported to Microwave as soon as reasonably possible.

Damage, Loss & Theft

The renter may be responsible for reasonable repair or replacement costs where loss or damage occurs and the renter is legally liable for it.

Normal wear and tear, pre-existing damage and faults not caused by the renter are not treated as renter-caused damage.

Microwave may inspect and test returned equipment before a deposit is released or any damage claim is determined.

Equipment Problems

If rented equipment develops a fault, stop using it where continued use could cause further damage and contact Microwave promptly. Do not attempt a repair unless Microwave has agreed to it.

Where appropriate, Microwave will try to provide a practical remedy, such as troubleshooting, replacement equipment where available, or an adjustment relating to the affected rental period. This does not limit any mandatory rights the customer may have under Danish law.

Cancellation & Consumer Withdrawal

Any cancellation conditions applying to a booking will be communicated before the booking is completed.

Private customers who conclude a distance contract with Microwave, for example through an online booking process, may have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal under the Danish Consumer Contracts Act (Forbrugeraftaleloven), unless a statutory exception applies.

If a customer asks for a service to begin before the statutory withdrawal period has expired, additional rules may apply, including requirements concerning the customer's express request and payment for service already supplied. Microwave will not treat these statutory rights as waived merely because the customer has accepted these general rental terms.

Statutory consumer rights take precedence where these terms cannot lawfully restrict them.

Booking Information

A booking is not final until the equipment, rental dates, total rental price and any applicable deposit or additional agreed charges have been confirmed.

Where a consumer contract is concluded online, Microwave will provide the information and confirmation required by applicable Danish consumer law.
